A two-sport athlete at Transylvania, Rian Boelter curated a decorated career for the Transylvania track and field over the past four years. Arriving in Lexington in the fall of 2016 to primarily play volleyball, Boelter transitioned into a star student-athlete on the track with a versatile skill set, setting program records in the women’s triple jump, indoor and outdoor high jump, javelin, and heptathlon.
Boelter’s journey culminated in winning the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Outdoor Championship in the women’s triple jump last season with a mark that also set the new program record in the event. Senior Harper Zeitz, who originally starred for the Transylvania field hockey team, expanded her experiences as a student-athlete to become a part of the Pioneer women's lacrosse team later on in her freshman year. Zeitz bloomed as a member of Transylvania women's lacrosse, earning 2019 HCLC Defensive Player of the Year honors as she helped lead the Pioneers into their second consecutive conference title and NCAA Tournament appearance. She was named a conference Player of the Week in field hockey and lacrosse five different times in her career and was also named to the IWLCA All-Region Second Team last season.
